Being Positive By Faith!

Count It Right And You Will Be Positive!

By Abraham Israel

Being positive needs no special techniques to practice. It all starts when we see life in the heavenly light of gratitude and thankfulness towards God for what we already have, instead of thinking that we can be happy only when we have something. Dear friends, life is more than what we have and what really matters in life is, who we have with us. If we have God on our side, we already have everthing we need in this life and in the life to come. Do you believe it saints?

Hear what God says in His word,
"5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” 6 So we may boldly say: “ The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”" (Heb 13:5-6). Three important things we can learn from these above verses which was spoken to us from God's mouth to make us excel in the art of living life to the fullest.

1) Do Not Covet — When we covet after anything of this earthly life, we are indirectly saying to God, 'I am not satisfied with the life you have given to me. I need something more than you God and your customed desgined destiny to make my life better.' Think about it saints, do we know more than God and can our plans in this life be more effective than the plan God has designed for us individually before the foundation of the world
(Eph 1:4). Sometimes we are so foolish to think that we know more than God. So be wise not to covet after earthly things that perish, but only covet after God and His heavenly spiritual gifts and riches so that we can now be a blessing to many (1 Cor 12:31; 14:1). Coveting brings dissatisfaction in the life of a believer and is a virus that destroys the spiritual growth of his soul and thus makes him fall in to destruction of heavenly abundant life which Jesus has already provided for him. And coveting leads the unbeliever to perdition which is eternal damnation (John 10:10; 1 Tim 6:9-10). The best life we can live now is to have food and clothing, then be content with it and then enjoy every single day of our life rejoicing in the Lord with gratefulness and thankfulness by serving Him all the days of our life (1 Tim 6:6-8, 17). LET NOT YOU ACTIONS IN LIFE BE DRIVEN BY COVETEOUSNESS, IF YOU ALLOW IT, IT WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE MISERABLE. Praise the Lord!

2) Be Content — Contentment is a gift of God that makes us satisfied with who we are in God than what we have with us in this world. It is a divine state of satisfaction in our soul that makes us busy with the joy of our heart, it is the power that God gives to use the wealth we have with us wisely for our eternal benefit and enjoy the good of all our labor
(Eccl 5:18-20). Who knows what is good for man in life except the God who has created us for His purpose (Eccl 5:12)? Nobody can guarantee that they will be alive tomorrow for sure. Why? Because our life in itself is like a shadow that might suddenly vanish when a cloud covers the sky or the darkness sets in at the appointed time of our death. We cannot predict what will happen on earth after we die because while we are still alive itself we have no power over our own lives, how then after our death. One who covets will never be satisfied with contentment from God (Eccl 5:10). Contentment is a process that we need to learn day after day by replacing thoughts of coveteousness with the intentional thought of grateful gratitude of thankfulness and praising attitude towards God for who He is to us and what he has already done for us, in us and through us. Hear what the great apostle Paul says, "11 ..., for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: 12 I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (Php 4:11-13). First contentment is a process and not a one time feeling that comes and goes away, it is acquired by learning. We can grow in contentment as we learn to live satisfied by God's heavenly presence by prioritising the heavenly purpose of God for our life as the sole purpose of our existence in this life (Php 1:21-23). When we come to realize all we have is God, then we will come to know God is all we ever need. We will become content with what we have only when we know the God who we have with us in life is all we will ever need. So contentment is learned when we experientially walk in this supernatural knowledge of the abundance of heaven and the availability of God's power always to us as God's children to fullfill all that we are designed to do in the pre-planned God's blue print that he has planned before the foundation of the world for us. We have brought nothing in to the world and we cannot take anything out of the world (1 Tim 6:7). So the bottom line is, whatever contentment and the purpose driven life that you have lived on earth with the help of God will only matter at the end of your life. BE CONTENT WITH WHAT YOU HAVE BECAUSE THAT IS ALL YOU NEED TO MAKE A IMPACT IN THIS LIFE.

3) Believe God's Promises and Boldly Speak Your Faith — Finally, as we believe the promises of God in our life, we will never be ashamed of it because in a matter of time, God will begin to fullfill all the promises which we have believed in our life day in and day out. When we believe, we will start to speak boldly of our faith
(2 Cor 4:13). When we believe, our mouth will automatically start to get tuned to speak only the postive promises of God and boast in it irrespective of the circumstances we go through in our lives. Faith people are most postive people who make a difference in this negative world. So you be one to make a difference for the GLORY OF GOD! Because God's presence stays with us because of His unbreakable promise given to us from God, we should never allow fear to overcome us when we are pushed to tight situations in our faith life. Such times we should get recharged with faith and grow in it by speaking to ourself saying, 'The Lord's is with me through his Presence and therefore "The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?"' The simple answer is, no man can do to you anything but what the Lord allows (1 Cor 10:13). When such kingly prosperity of contentment and faith acts together, you will be able to proclaim like Jesus saying to judges, governors and presidents boldly, "...You could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above." (John 19:11), even if you are standing for the verdict of the highest court on earth to decide whether you should live or die for the sake of your faith in God. The one who will not be able to inherit anything of value are those who do not live by faith and have no endurance when trials come against them, all others even if they are fools will definitely receive God's promise after they have done the will of God to endure through the trials that come their way (Heb 10:35-36). So let us keep doing good to all the saints that God brings our way and not grow weary while we have the God given oppurtunity to do good. Let us not be discouraged when nothing tangible happens, because in God's appointed season we will start to reap all the promised blessing of God continually (Gal 6:9-10). KEEP WORKING FOR GOD BY FAITH, BEING CONTENT WITH THANKFULLNESS AND PRAISING ATTITUDE, BY DOING SO YOUR REWARD WILL NOT ONLY COME IN DUE SEASON BUT THE RETIREMENT BENEFITS ARE SURELY OUT OF THIS WORLD!

I believe that now you are ready to count it rightly and be positive in your life of faith.

Count your blessings instead of your crosses;
Count your gains instead of your losses.

Count your joys instead of your woes;
Count your friends instead of your foes.

Count your smiles instead of your tears;
Count your courage instead of your fears.

Count your full years instead of your lean;
Count your kind deeds instead of your mean.

Count your health instead of your wealth;
Count on God instead of yourself.
